Box Score NEW CONCORD, Ohio--The Mount Union men's soccer team's unbeaten streak extends to three games after shutting out Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) opponent Muskingum 4-0 Wednesday afternoon.
Sophomore Jake Clark (Chardon/West Geauga) began the scoring for the Purple Raiders in the 12th minute of the game after receiving the ball from junior Jesse Tinney (Heidelberg, Pa./Chartiers Valley) and slipping it past the Muskingum keeper.
Freshman Daniel Chung (Stow/CVCA) and junior Stephen Dages (Uniontown/Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary) each tallied a point in the game, in the 36th and 50th minutes, respectively.
Tinney notched the team's last goal of the game in the 70th minute, giving the Raiders a 4-0 lead over Muskingum.
Senior goalkeeper Dylan Lias (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls) recorded two saves and his fourth shutout of the season.
The Raiders advance to 4-6-4 on the season and 2-3-1 in the OAC, while Muskingum falls to 3-12-1 overall and 0-6 in conference play.
Mount Union will recognize its seniors on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. as the team hosts Wilmington at Mount Union Stadium in its next OAC matchup.
