Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio -- No. 6 seed Mount Union pushed No. 3 seed Capital to double overtime before falling 1-0 in the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Tournament Monday at Bernlohr Stadium.
Capital's Cheyn Roux scored the game winner in the 106th minute in the second overtime period to advance the Crusaders (14-3-2) to the semfinals.
Both teams battled through the first half and attempted to get on the board, but neither was successful.
Capital's Trevor Collins came close in the 22nd minute, but Mount Union senior goalkeeper Dylan Lias (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls) expertly cut down his angles and recorded a save that kept the game tied through the half.
The Purple Raiders had three scoring chances in the second half off shots from juniors Kevin Blackley (Aurora/Aurora) and Nik Newhart (Mentor/Lake Catholic) along senior Nathan Tirabassi (Hubbard/Hubbard) in the second half, but Capital's keeper held off the Purple Raiders.
Lias had that one save and finishes his 68-game Mount Union career with over 6,000 minutes in goal and nine shutouts as the Raiders finish their season at 6-8-4 overall.
