HILTON HEAD, S.C.—Mount Union men's tennis team snabbed an 8-1 win over Catholic (D.C.) to win in Hilton Head this afternoon. The Purple Raiders collected their second win this week out of three matches played so far.
Mount Union, now 4-3, was led by Rob Demarco (North Canton/Hoover) who scored two wins today for the Raiders. He teamed up with Jeff Williams (Cleveland Heights/Lakewood St. Edward) to win in doubles then defeated Juan Lorida in a third set tiebreaker. With the win, Demarco picked up his 10th win of the season and now has an overall record of 10-4.
Mount Union will take on Elizabethtown (Pa.) next on Wednesday, March 2nd at 12:00 p.m.
