Box Score WILMINGTON, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's basketball team got off to a slow start that led to a 103-90 loss at Wilmington in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Saturday.
The Purple Raiders found themselves down 18-7 in the game's first seven minutes and ended up down 54-33 at the half. Mount Union got no closer than 13 points the rest of the way.
D.J. Iles scored a game-high 29 and was one of four players in double figures for Wilmigton (8-11, 3-9 OAC).
Mount Union (11-8, 6-6 OAC) had five players in double figures led by 17 from Tommy Stenger (North Canton/Hoover).
Jeff Foreman (Mentor/Mentor) had 15, Andrew Francesconi (Tallmadge/Tallmadge) got 13, DeAllen Jackson (Akron/Hoban) poured in 11 while Nathan Bower-Malone (Stow/Stow) got 10 as the other Raiders in double digits.
The Raiders return home to host No. 15 ranked Marietta in an OAC matchup Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. at The MAAC.
