ADA, Ohio -- The Mount Union men's tennis team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Ohio Northern 8-1 Saturday at Ohio Northern. 

Mount Union improves to 11-3 on the season and 4-0 in the OAC, while the Polar Bears drop to 7-7 overall and 0-3 in conference play. 

Freshman Zach Teffner (Cortland/Lakeview) earned two points for the Raiders after defeating Ohio Northern's Tyler Frantz 6-4, 6-1 in fifth position singles, while he and sophomore Matt Bringman (Strongsville/Strongsville) beat David Hayman and Dan Warren 9-7 in third position doubles. 

The Raiders next host John Carroll in an OAC match on Friday, April 14 at 1 p.m. at Mount Union's Whitehill Tennis Courts.
