HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Mount Union men's tennis team dropped a close match to Eastern Nazarene (Mass.) 5-4 on Wednesday at the Evian Tennis Center.
The Purple Raiders secured a win in doubles with the pairing of Robert Cross (North Canton /Hoover) and Zach Teffner (Cortland/Lakeview) as they defeated ENC's Santiago Camero and Laurent Ruttkowski by a score of 8-5.
In singles, Cross secured his second win alongside Jackson Schneider (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) and Antonio Massucci (Ashtabula/St. John). Cross and Massucci both won in their matches' third set.
Now 4-2, Mount Union will next play Lebanon Valley (Pa.) on Thursday, March 8 at 8:00 a.m. at Chaplin Park Tennis Center.
