ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union tennis team won its seventh straight match of the season in a 9-0 shutout over Marietta (4-6, 1-1 OAC) Wednesday afternoon.
With their fifth shutout of the season, the Purple Raiders improve to 11-2 overall and remain undefeated in the conference at 5-0.
The Raiders won two out of the three doubles matches 8-0; Robert Cross (North Canton/Hoover) and Zach Teffner (Cortland/Lakeview) won their match 8-4. In singles, all Mount Union tennis players won their matches in two sets, as Teffner secured the fifth point for the win.
Next up for Mount Union is a three-match road trip, starting Saturday, April 14 at Heidelberg with the match slated for a 1:00 p.m. start.
