Box Score 2 ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's volleyball team moves their record to 4-0 with a pair of three-set victories against Grove City (Pa.) and Thiel (Pa.) Saturday at the 2018 Mount Union Invitational.
Senior middle Kyleigh Jackson (Galloway/Westland) and sophomore outside-hitter Madelin DiBease (Perry/Perry) continued to be a force on offense with 12 and 10 kills, respectively, against Grove City.
Junior middle-hitter Marlee Peck was also strong on the offensive front with eight kills against Grove City and a team-high nine kills against Thiel. Both Peck and Jackson's performances earned All-Tournament honors with Peck being named Most Valuable Player.
At libero, senior Allison Baird (North Royalton/North Royalton) had 18 digs in game one versus Grove City, while sophomore Annie Leslein (Akron/Hoban) had a career-high 14 against Thiel.
After etching a career-high of 34 assists the previous night, junior setter Carly Stepic (Cleveland/Holy Name) dished out 35 assists for the Purple Raiders against Grove City.
Mount Union next travels to Meadville, Pa. to compete in the Allegheny Gator Invitational on September 7-8.
