Box Score 2 ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Mount Union women's volleyball team split a pair of matches and moved their record to 3-1 after the second day of the Mount Union Invitational.
The Raiders first match resulted in a loss to Mount Vernon Nazerene in five sets, 25-22, 25-21, 17-25, 22-25, 11-15. Junior outside hitter Madelin DiBease (Perry) led the way with 15 kills, freshman setter Katie May (Independence) totaled a team high 29 assists, while fellow freshman Alyssa Kasaris (North Royalton) had 27 digs.
Mount Union won their second match against Earlham (Ind.) 25-11, 25-12, 25-11 while DiBease led the way again with seven kills, May added 12 assists, and Kasaris totalled 18 digs.
Mount Union junior outside hitter Breanna Arnett (Peninsula / Woodridge) was named to the all-tournament team as she had 38 kills and a .265 hitting percentage for the weekend.
The Raiders next play a non-conference match Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. at Hiram.
