Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's basketball team scored a season-high 100 points in a 100-70 Ohio Athletic Conference win over Muskingum Wednesday at Timken Gymnasium.
It was the first time the Purple Raiders crossed the century mark since a 104-66 win over Waynesburg on Nov. 22, 2013.
Mount Union (8-6, 2-5 OAC) had 12 different players score with freshman Madison Hensley (Gahanna / Lincoln) posting a game-high 20 points, shooting 7-of-10 from the floor.
Four other Raiders scored in double digits as junior Elena Rauhe (Parma / Padua Franciscan) had 16, freshman Anika Sweeney (Sylvania / Northview) had 15, junior Brianna Gassman (Minerva) and Hailey Peoples-O'Neil (Geneva) each had 11 points.
Casey Smith had 17 to lead Muskingum (3-9, 1-6 OAC).
Mount Union scored 21 of the game's first 30 points and never looked back leading 23-18 after one quarter. The Raiders made 15 field goals in the second quarter with seven of them from beyond the arc and led 62-27 at the break.
The Raiders remain at home to host Otterbein in an OAC matchup Saturday, Jan. 18 at 3 p.m. in Alliance.
