ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's basketball team matched a season-high four-game win streak with an 82-58 win over Heidelberg in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Saturday at Timken Gymnasium.

The Purple Raiders are now 14-9 overall and have rallied from an 0-5 start in the conference to now stand at 8-8 and in fourth place in the OAC.

Freshman Madison Hensley (Blacklick / Gahanna Lincoln) had 18 points and junior Elena Rauhe (Seven Hills / Padua Franciscan) had 17 points as 15 different Mount Union players cracked the scoring column.

Brooke Beamer paced Heidelberg (8-14, 4-12 OAC) with 16 points and four steals.

The Student Princes opened the game with a 4-2 lead, until Hensley scored eight straight points to give Mount Union a 10-4 lead and the Raiders led 18-13 after the first quarter.

Heidelberg got within a bucket, 25-23, midway through the second quarter but a Rauhe three-pointer sparked a 14-3 surge and Mount Union led 39-26 at the break.

Mount Union kept the lead at double digits the rest of the way and a three-pointer from junior Sarah Turley (Sagamore Hills / Nordonia) ignited a 13-4 run that put the game away for the Raiders.

Mount Union closes out the regular season with a game at No. 12 Baldwin Wallace next Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. then hosts Capital Saturday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m. in Alliance.
