OBERLIN, Oh. —Mount Union sophomore Jeff Joseph (Beloit / West Branch) finished second overall leading the men's cross country team to a 6th place finish at the Inter-Regional Rumble Saturday morning hosted by Oberlin College.
 
The Purple Raiders were led by Joseph who finished runner-up for the third consecutive race in a time of 25:07.8 and sophomore Vincent Giumenti (Dover) finishing 10th with a time of 25:50.9.
 
Senior Hunter Probert (Gnadenhutten / Indian Valley) and junior Forrest Long (Geneva) finished 43rd and 50th with times of 26:46.9 and 26:59.0.
 
Senior Alex Bryan (Geneva) rounded out the scoring finishing 80th with a time of 27:28.5.
 
Also competing for the Raiders was sophomore Mason Kutz (Dalton), seniors Logan Brown (Springfield / Northeastern) and Marcus Ryder (Mercer, Pa.), junior Justin Arnold (Mayfield Heights) and freshman Curtis Joppeck (New London).
 
John Carroll finished first with a team score of 60 points with Mount Union finishing 6th with a total of 174 points.
 
Mount Union will next take on the conference in the Ohio Athletic Conference championship hosted by Wilmington on Saturday, October 30th.
