Three Second Half Goals Give Raiders Senior Day Victory

Coach Kelley Clark Wins 100th Career Game

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team picked up and Ohio Athletic Conference win on senior day over Heidelberg 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.

The Student Princes (9-6-0, 2-5-0 OAC) got on the board first in the 20th minute when Riley Ireland found the back of the net.

The score remained 1-0 until the Purple Raiders (9-5-1, 5-2-0 OAC) scored three goals in the next 7:44 of game time. The first coming in the 70th minute from sophomore Kaela Turle (Twinsburg) with freshman Logan Godfrey (Huntingtown, Md.) picking up the assist. Then in the 75th minute junior Andrea Decker (Hilliard / Hilliard Bradley) scored off another Godfrey assist. Then, Decker scored her second goal of the night in the 77th minute to give the Raiders the 3-1 lead.

Freshman goalkeeper Rylee Oldfield (Liberty Twp. / Lakota East) picked up four saves in the victory.

The Raiders outshot the Student Princes 14-4 in the second half.

The victory also marked the 100th career win for Head Coach Kelley Clark.

The Raiders are back in action Wednesday, October 27 at 7 p.m. against Baldwin Wallace in Berea, Ohio.
