WILMINGTON, Ohio -- Mount Union's men cross country team placed third at the 2021 Ohio Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships Saturday on Wilmington College's campus.
 
The Purple Raiders were led by a runner-up finish in junior Jeff Joseph (Beloit / West Branch) who earn All-OAC first team honors with a time of 24:54.3 and now has finished runner-up in all four of his races on the season.
 
 Sophomore Vincent Giumenti (Dover) and senior Hunter Probert (Gnadenhutten / Indian Valley) also picked up All-OAC second team honors with an 11^th and 20th place finish.
 
Four other Raiders made up the rest of the team score as junior Forest Long (Geneva) placed 21th, senior Alex Bryan (Geneva) 32nd, sophomore Mason Kutz (Dalton) 36th, and sophomore Curtis Joppeck (New London) 37th rounded out the top 7.
 
Mount Union totaled 86 points while John Carroll won the meet with 25 points followed by Otterbein in second with 52 points.
 
The Raiders next run at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Saturday, Nov. 13 in Shelbyville, Ind.
