GREENSBURG, Pa.-- Mount Union's women's basketball team fell on the road 62-50 to Pitt-Greensburg Wednesday night.

Melina Maietta scored 18 points to lead Pitt-Greensburg (3-1) as Mount Union (1-2) got 12 points and five rebounds from
Isi Palamone (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) and
Katie Clark (Hudson / Walsh Jesuit) with
Kelsie Glass (Green) scored eight points each.

Mount Union had two different leads early on as Glass hit a three-pointer to start the game and Palamone hit two layups back-to-back to give the Purple Raiders a 7-4 lead. Pitt-Greensburg finished the quarter on a 18-7 run.
Greensburg outscored Mount Union 18-12 in the second quarter to take a 40-26 lead at the half.
In the third quarter Greensburg grabbed its largest lead of 18 on a three-pointer with 6:48 left. Mount Union finished the quarter on a 12-1 run to close the score to within 7.
The fourth quarter saw Greensburg go on a 10-0 run to ride out the victory.
The Purple Raiders continue their road trip as they open up conference play at Wilmington, Saturday, Nov. 20 at 3 p.m. in Wilmington.
