WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Three Mount Union women's volleyball student-athletes have been named to the 2021 All-Ohio Athletic Conference teams.
Freshman outside hitter
Heaven Bartell (Cleveland / St. Joseph Academy) earned a spot on the first team list for the Purple Raiders.
Junior libero
Alyssa Kasaris (North Royalton) earned second team all-conference for the second straight year while junior
Maria Ellesin (Alliance / Marlington) earned herself a spot on the honorable mention list
for the second consecutive year as well.
Bartell led the Raiders on the offensive side with 313 kills finishing sixth in the OAC. Bartell also came up huge on the defensive end finishing second in digs on the team with 349 and 10th in the OAC. Â
Kasaris led Mount Union on the defensive side with 5.36 digs per set good for second in the OAC while having 531 digs sitting at third in the OAC.
Ellesin finished with 179 kills while adding 37 blocks on the season for Mount Union.
The Purple Raiders season ended in the semifinals of the OAC tournament as they finished with a season record of 21-7, 7-2 OAC.
