Box Score ADA, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's basketball team fell to Ohio Northern 59-35 in Ohio Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon.
 
Kristen Luersman and Molly Palecek led Ohio Northern (6-2, 2-1 OAC) with 10 points each.
 
The Purple Raiders (2-5, 1-3 OAC) got 11 points and eight rebounds from Isi Palamone (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) and eight points from Corenna Maynard (Chagrin Falls / Kenston) had eight points.
 
Ohio Northern jumped out to a 16-3 first quarter lead. Northern extended the lead out to 33-12 at the half.

Mount Union held Ohio Northern to just 26 points in the second half as the Raiders only scored 23 points.

The Purple Raiders next play at home, Saturday, December 18 at 2 p.m. to take on Westminster in the MAAC.
