ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's men's basketball, ranked 16th in the nation, won a non-conference matchup against Lycoming (Pa.) 107-61 on Thursday afternoon.

The Purple Raiders (9-1, 3-1 OAC) had six players score in double figures, sophomore Christian Parker (Canton / Glenoak) scored a game high 21 points, senior Ethan Stanislawski (Massillon / Jackson) added 20 points, with senior Logan Hill (Massillon / Jackson) adding 14. Seniors Darrell Newsom (Twinsburg) and Braedon Poole (McDonald) and junior Andrew Keller (Painesville / Riverside) each added 10.

The Warriors (7-5, 2-1 MAC) were led by Mo Terry who scored a team high 12 points.

The Raiders jumped out to a quick 10-3 lead, before a Stanislawski jumper sparked a 22-8 run over the next 8 minutes giving the Raiders a 32-13 lead with 7:29 left in the first half. A Painter three with 4:01 remaining in the half sparked a 13-2 run over the next 2:45 and was capped off by a Hill dunk to give the Raiders a 27-point lead with just over a minute to go in the first half. The Raiders would go into the locker room with a 56-29 lead.

A dunk by Hill to open the second half would extend the Raiders lead to 29 and that was the closest the Warriors would get as the Raiders came out with a 107-61 victory.

The Raiders shot 58.3% from the field, while holding the Warriors to just 35.5% shooting.

Mount Union will return to action Saturday, January 8 at 4 p.m. for an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup against Capital at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.
