ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union women's basketball team (7-4, 7-4 OAC) dominated the Muskies of Muskingum (1-8, 1-8 OAC) Friday evening at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex with a final score of 90-54.

The Purple Raiders extend their win streak to seven, the longest winning streak since 2012-13 where they started the season 9-0. Tonight, the Raiders had four in double digits which consisted of junior Isi Palamone (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) with 15, followed by sophomore Emma Cannon (Dalton) with 13, sophomore Kelsie Glass (Green) with 12, and senior Elena Rauhe (Seven Hills  / Padua Franciscan) with 11.

Muskingum was led by Sarah Miller who had 12 points.

Mount Union was on a three-point frenzy as they tallied 17 of 33 from range which is the most since the last matchup of these two teams in the 2019-20 season and two away from the school record of 19 which was set in 2012-13 against Heidelberg. Four of those threes came from Glass and six were tallied from the first quarter. Mount Union shut down the Muskingum offense early as they went up 26-8 after the first 10 minutes of play, and held them to a scoring freeze throughout the first three minutes of the second quarter. The Muskies started to chip away bringing the deficit as close as 16 on the night, however, the Raiders didn't look back in the second half as they continued to outscore the Muskies 47-32. Mount Union stretched their lead over 30 in the remaining 10 minutes to solidify the win 90-54.

The Raiders wrap up their regular season tomorrow night with the Muskies on a trip to New Concord at 6 pm.
