Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio – Junior Rylan Wikle (Olmsted Falls) scored both goals including the game winner in the 89th minute for a 2-1 win over Wilmington in Ohio Athletic Conference play Sunday afternoon.
This is the first win in Head Coach David Krems career and improves the Purple Raiders to 1-1 and 1-1 in the OAC while Wilmington moves its record to 1-1 Overall and 1-1 in the OAC.
Wikle scored the first goal of the day on an assist from Ryan Sarkisian (Hudson) in the 14th minute.
Wilmington tied the game in the 54th minute by Zach Burgmier.
Both teams held each other scoreless until the game winner from Wikle assisted by Carter Hancock (Amherst / Steele) in the 89th minute.
Junior Mikey Contreras (Fremont Ross) made six saves for the Purple Raiders.
The Raiders head on the road to take on Muskingum on Thursday, March 25th at 7:00 p.m. in New Concord.
