BEXLEY, Ohio –Mount Union's men soccer team shutout Capital 1-0 Sunday Afternoon in Ohio Athletic Conference play.

The Purple Raiders (3-1) got on the only goal of the game in the first half in the 45th minute on a penatly kick from junior Tucker Ramirez (Maumee / Anthony Wayne).

Mount Union completed it's second straight shutout of the season from junior Mikey Contreras (Fremont Ross) who had four saves and now has held his oppoents to 216 straight minutes of scoreless score.

The Purple Raiders outshot Capital (2-3) 10-7 and had three more corner kicks.

Mount Union returns hoem to take on Marietta Thursday, April 1st at 7:00 p.m. in Mount Union Stadium.
