Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union mens's soccer team fell 2-1 against Marietta in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Thursday Night.
The loss drops the Purple Raiders to 3-2 and 3-2 in the OAC while Marietta moves its record to 5-1 Overall and 5-1 in the OAC.
Mount Union outshot Marietta in the first half 4-2 but the only goal in the first half was by Marietta in the 13th minute
Mount Union tied the game up when freshman Jamon McCort (Magnolia / Sandy Valley) scored his first career goal in the 48th minute.
Marietta got the game winner in the 85th minute scoring on a free kick.
Junior Mikey Contreras (Fremont Ross) made eight saves for the Purple Raiders.
The Raiders will stay home for Senior Night against Heidelberg on Monday, April 5th at 7:00 p.m. in Mount Union Stadium.
