MARIETTA, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's tennis team opened its 2021 spring season with a 9-0 shutout of Marietta in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Saturday in Marietta.
It had been 402 days since the Purple Raiders last played a match and it also marked the first win for Keith Kohmann as head coach.
Mount Union swept through doubles with Max Rosedale (Massillon / Massillon Jackson) and Holden Schmid (Copley) picking up an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles, Schmid, Rosedale and Justin Kelley (Uniontown / Lake) led the way as each picked up 6-0, 6-0 straight set wins.
