MASON, Ohio - No. 4 seed Mount Union saw its season end with a 5-0 defeat to No. 1 seed John Carroll in the semifinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament at the Linder Family Tennis Center outside of Cincinnati.

The Purple Raiders closest match of the day came in No. 3 doubles action as sophomore Holden Schmid (Copley/Copley) and junior Max Rosedale (Massillon/Massillon Jackson) rallied against their opponents but came up short in an 8-4 loss.

In No. 6 singles, Rosedale was on the verge of a comeback after falling in the first set 6-1 by taking a 5-0 set two lead. Unfortunately, the match ended before Rosedale could pull off the upset.

Mount Union wraps up their 2021 season with an overall record of 3-5 and an OAC record of 2-3.
