ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Mount Union women's soccer team had three different goal scorers in a 3-1 win over Hiram in the season opener at Mount Union Stadium.
The Purple Raiders (1-0) got their first goal of the year in the 12th minute from junior
Andrea Decker (Hilliard / Hilliard Bradley). Sophomore
Molly Eubanks (New Concord / John Glenn) scored in the 35th minute on an assist from junior
Madison Pepper (Uniontown / Lake).
Hiram (0-1) answered with a goal from Isabella Galecki in the 41st minute.
Mount Union got a goal in the second half from senior
Mary Double (Salem) in the 59th minute off of a rebound back to her.
Mount Union freshman goalkeeper
Rylee Oldfield (Liberty Twp. / Lakota East) picked up her first collegiate win with four saves.
Mount Union out shot Hiram 20-10.Â
The Raiders next play at Waynesburg University Saturday, Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. in Waynesburg, Pa.
