PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Mount Union Women's Volleyball team dropped two games on day two at Carnegie Mellon University.
In the first match Mount Union (12-3) fell to Susquehanna (8-4) 25-19, 25-16 and 25-13.
Leading Mount Union was sophomore
Isabella Sprunger (North Royalton) and freshman
Darby Leininger (Chardon / Beaumont) who both finished with six kills.
Junior setters
Mollie Thomas (Massillon / Massillon Perry) and
Katie May (Brecksville / Independence) had 12 and 9 assists while sophomore defensive specialist
Adrian Petrisko (Elyria) lead the team in digs with 11.
The second game Mount Union was defeated by Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) (6-7) 25-17, 25-17, 25-14.
Freshman
Heaven Bartell (Cleveland / St. Joseph Academy led the offense with 9 kills in game two.
Thomas finished with 17 assists while May had 14 in the second game. Junior libero
Alyssa Kasaris (North Royalton) dug out 13 balls.
Mount Union returns home to take on Hiram Tuesday, September 28th at 7 p.m. in the MAAC.
