MEADVILLE, Pa. – Mount Union's women's soccer team erased a 2-0 deficit with three goals in the final 30 minutes to claim a 3-2 win at Allegheny and moved to 3-0 on the season Wednesday night in Meadville.
The Gators (0-3) got on the board first with a goal by Natasha Rosa in the 19
th minute. The score remained 1-0 until the 54
th minute when Emma Miller scored off a free kick to extend the Gators lead to 2-0.
The Raiders (3-0) cut into the lead with a goal by junior
Andrea Decker (Hillard/Hillard Bradley) off an assist by senior
Kassity Miller (New Waterford/Crestview). The Raiders then tied the game when sophomore
Kaela Turle (Twinsburg) scored her first goal of the season off a corner kick by freshman
Logan Godfrey (Huntingtown, Md.).
Decker then scored her second goal of the game in the 81
st minute to give the Raiders a 3-2 lead, freshman
Teagan Johnston (Akron/Revere) and junior
Madison Pepper (Uniontown/Lake) both picked up an assist on the play.
The Raiders next game is Saturday, Sep. 11 at 1 p.m. against Adrian College in Adrian, Mich.
