SPRINGFIELD, Ohio. – The Mount Union women's track and field team won six events at the Stemmer Showcase Saturday afternoon placing three top 8 marks in the NCAA Division III.
Junior
Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) won the 400-meters with a personal record of 57.27 good for third in NCAA Division III.
Wayt teamed up with senior
Kennady Gibbins (Navarre / Fairless), junior
Micah Donley (Carrollton) and freshman
Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) to post the second fastest time in Division III in the 4x400-meter relay by winning with a time of 3:54.73.
Senior
Brit McCauley (Ontario) finished third overall in the mile race with a 5:03.10 and currently sits eight overall in Division III.
In the 800-meters junior
Megan Wertz (Canton / GlenOak) finished first with a time of 2:19.90.
Junior
Brittany Bober (Twinsburg) won the 500-meters in a time of 1:22.31.
Donley finished second in the 400-meters with a time of 1:00.19.
Senior
Emily Phillips (Chardon) won the pole vault with a leap of 11-feet 2.5-inches while her teammate
Mackenzie Tubaugh (Carrollton) finished runner up with a height of 10-feet 10.75-inches.
Gibbins won the high jump with a height of 5-feet 4.25-inches.
The Raiders host next Saturday, February 5th with the Jim Wuske Invitational.
