NEW CONCORD, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team beat Muskingum 3-1 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup on Wednesday night.
The Purple Raiders (7-3-3, 4-2-0 OAC) got on the board first when senior
Madison Pepper (Uniontown / Lake) scored in the 24
th minute.
The Muskies (2-10-3, 0-6-0 OAC) would come back to tie the game in the 54
th minute when Morgan Meisel found the back of the net to tie the game at one.
Then, Pepper would net her second goal of the night in the 71
st minute this time coming off an assist from senior
Andrea Decker (Hilliard / Hilliard Bradley). Decker would then score a goal of her own in the 76
th minute to extend the Raider lead off an assist by junior
Kaela Turle (Twinsburg).
Mount Union outshot Muskingum 32-8 in the game, including a 14-4 advantage in shots on goal.
The Raiders return home next when they host Wilmington on Saturday, October 22 at 7 p.m. in Kehres Stadium.
