Men's Soccer: Raiders Drop OAC Quarterfinal Match to Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's soccer team lost to Wilmington 4-0 in an Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament matchup on Tuesday night.

The Quakers struck first when Nick In'tZand found the back of the net in the 45th minute to take a 1-0 lead heading into the half.

Wilmington would then add to their lead in the 49th minute this time off a goal by Alfie Harris. In the 77th minute Sakarias Bahamondez found the back of the net to extend the Quaker lead to three goals. Wilmington would then add a fourth goal in the 88th minute when JJ Riggsby found the back of the net.

The Purple Raiders best chances at scoring came off shots by junior Jamon McCort (Magnolia / Sandy Valley) and senior Xavier Pinaya (Monclova / Anthony Wayne).

Mount Union's season comes to an end after the loss, they finished 9-4-5 overall and 4-3-2 in OAC play.
