WILMINGTON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's soccer team lost to Wilmington 4-0 in an Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament matchup on Tuesday night.
The Quakers struck first when Nick In'tZand found the back of the net in the 45
th minute to take a 1-0 lead heading into the half.
Wilmington would then add to their lead in the 49
th minute this time off a goal by Alfie Harris. In the 77
th minute Sakarias Bahamondez found the back of the net to extend the Quaker lead to three goals. Wilmington would then add a fourth goal in the 88
th minute when JJ Riggsby found the back of the net.
The Purple Raiders best chances at scoring came off shots by junior Jamon McCort (Magnolia / Sandy Valley) and senior Xavier Pinaya (Monclova / Anthony Wayne).
Mount Union's season comes to an end after the loss, they finished 9-4-5 overall and 4-3-2 in OAC play.
