RIVER FOREST, Illinois—The Mount Union women's basketball team fell on the road 81-77 to Concordia Chicago Saturday afternoon at Geiseman Gymnasium.
The Purple Raiders (3-2) were led by senior
Gretchen Koken (Harmony, Pa. / Seneca Valley) who scored 24 points.
Sophomores
Ali Hudik (Mentor / Lake Catholic) and
Dae Dae Nash (Akron / Buchtel) scored double digits with 15 and 14 respectivly while freshman Audrey Livesay (Akron / Revere) and senior
Emma Cannon (Dalton) picks up 10 and nine rebounds in the game.
Concordia Chicago (2-2, 1-0 NACC) was led by Katherine Benes scoring 24 points.
The first quarter went the way of Concordia as they outscored Mount Union 24-12. Mount Union responded winning the second quarter 19-17 to trail 41-31 at the half.
Concordia came out in the second half outscoring Mount Union 22-16. The Raiders almost completed the comeback in the fourth quarter outscoring Concordia 30-18 but fell 81-77.
Mount Union returns to play after the Thanksgiving break on Tuesday, November 29th taking on Oberlin at 7 p.m. in Oberlin.
