Raiders Drop OAC Opener To Ohio Northern

ADA, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's lacrosse team fell 11-2 to Ohio Northern in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup Saturday afternoon.
 
Eli Ciotti (Canonsburg, Pa. / Linsly) and Alek Kungle (Hartville / Lake) each had a goal for the Purple Raiders, who now fall to 3-3 overall and 0-1 in the OAC
 
Ohio Northern (5-2, 1-0 OAC) was led by Sebastian Michaud and Ben Gawronski who each scored three goals.
 
Ohio Northern jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first quarter of play. Ciotti began the second quarter with a goal as the Raiders held Ohio Northern to just one goal in the second quarter as well.
 
Ohio Northern once again had a 4-0 period this time in the third period. Ohio Northern added two more goals in the fourth quarter as Kungle scored the final goal of the game.
 
Mount Union host an OAC matchup next Wednesday, March 30 at 7 p.m. against Marietta.
