BEXLEY, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's lacrosse team fell in overtime 11-10 to Capital in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup Saturday afternoon.

Eli Ciotti (Canonsburg, Pa. / Linsly) had three goals for the Purple Raiders, who now fall to 7-5 overall and 3-3 in the OAC.

Connor Addison (Mishawaka, Ind. / South Bend) and
Alek Kungle (Canton / Lake) each had two goals while
Logan Gebhart (McDonald, Pa. / Canon-McMillon),
Connor O'Neil (Medina) and
Cole Benson (Hilton Head, S.C.) each scored one goal.

Capital (6-7, 3-3 OAC) was led by Evan Frund who scored six goals.

Mount Union got a goal from Addison in the first quarter and that was the only scoring as the defense held Capital to no goals. The second quarter Addison once again scored first but five unanswered from Capital put the score 5-2 at the half.

The third quarter Capital got the first goal but the Raiders responded with two goals one a piece from Gebhart and Kungle to close within 6-4 after three quarters.

Capital pushed its lead out to 7-4 with a goal and then Mount Union with on a 5-1 run with two goals from Ciotti and a goal each from Kungle, Benson and O'Neil to take a 9-8 lead. Capital scored a goal to tie the game up with 3:19 remaining. Ciotti got his third goal of the quarter just 39 seconds later to take a 10-9 lead. Capital found the back of the net 58 second later and tied the game up.

In overtime Capital got the golden goal with 2:31 remaining in the period to take the 11-10 victory.

Mount Union stays on the road with a trip to New Concord to take on Muskingum in OAC play on Wednesday, April 20 at 7 p.m.
