WOOSTER, Ohio – Mount Union's women's track and field team picked up six victories including four top 15 national marks at the Wooster Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Junior
Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) and sophomore
Madison Miles (Parma / Padua Franciscan) ran in the 800 meters and finished first and third with times of 2:17.38 and 2:18.22. These two times currently sit ninth and 14th in NCAA Division III.
Sophomore
Lauren Roncone (North Canton / Hoover) picked up a victory in the long jump with a jump of 18-feet 3-inches which sits in sixth in NCAA Division III.
Roncone also grabbed third in the 100 meters with a time of 12.95.
Sophomore
Sidney Rambo (Columbiana / Columbiana Crestview) won in the discus with a throw of 131-feet 3-inches which sits 10th in NCAA Division III. Rambo also finished third in the javelin with a distance of 92-feet 11-inches.
Freshman
Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) and senior
Michaelina Terranova (North Jackson / Jackson-Milton) finished within .01 of each other in the 400 meters with Mason winning with a time of 1:00.82 to Terranova's 1:00.83.
Terranova also finished runner-up in the 100 meter Hurdles with a time of 14.97.
Freshman
Kaylee Wampler (Clyde) won the hammer throw with 120-feet 11-inches.
Senior
Lily Bogunovich (Alliance / Marlington) won the 200 meters with a time of 26.71.
Junior
Mackenzie Tubaugh (Carrolton) and sophomore Megan Hughes (Magnolia / Sandy Valley) tied for second in the pole vault with leaps of 10-feet .5-inches.
Senior
Brit McCauley (Ontario) finished second in the 1,500 meters in a time of 4:48.83.
Sophomore
Buzz Kline (Mogadore / Field) finished runner-up in the shot-put throwing 36-feet 4-inches.
Junior
Brittany Bolevich (Ravenna / Southeast) grabbed third in discus with distance of 116-feet 2-inches.
Mount Union hosts the
John Homon Open next Friday and Saturday, April 8th and 9th.
