ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's women's tennis team took a 9-0 loss to Baldwin Wallace in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Wednesday inside Peterson Field House.

The Purple Raiders (1-6, 0-4 OAC) lost No. 1 doubles in an epic 14-12 tiebreaker as freshman Abby Franks (Canton / Canton South) and sophomore Emma Thornton (Youngstown / Cardinal Mooney) came up just short 9-8.

Franks also put on a battle at No. 1 singles before falling, 7-5 and 6-3.

Baldwin Wallace is now 2-8 overall and 1-0 in the OAC.

The Raiders are back on the court Sunday hosting Marietta in an OAC match starting at 1 p.m. at Whitehill Courts on campus.
