OBERLIN, Ohio - Mount Union women's tennis competed at the Oberlin Invitational, putting together a number of strong performances in both singles and doubles against competition from across the region.
In singles play,
Claire Schlak and
Marianna Farmakidis each earned three-set victories over Ohio Northern opponents, with both players battling through deciding match tiebreaks.
The Raiders also found success throughout doubles action.
Haylee Fearon and
Claire Schlak picked up a 6-4 win over an Oberlin duo, while
Kaiya Minier and
Emily Borchert earned two victories on the day.
Hannah Neely and
Marianna Farmakidis added a 6-0 win over Wooster, and
Cameron Silverman and
Kami Magaw also recorded a doubles victory.
Mount Union finished the invitational with seven total wins while gaining valuable match experience against a strong field.
The Raiders will next host Penn State Behrend on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. for their home opener.
