ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Mount Union's men's soccer team lost to Rochester in a non-conference matchup 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Yellow Jackets (2-0) struck first scoring off a penalty kick by Santi Ponce Ocampo in the 14
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Rochester would add to their lead in the 68
th minute when Aimon Ibassa found Colin Canning to take a 2-0 lead.
The Purple Raiders (1-1) best chances to score came off shots by junior
Carter Hancock (Amherst / Marion L. Steele) and junior
Adam Kalvitz (Avon).
Mount Union is on the road again next as they take on Denison on Wednesday, September 7 at 7 p.m. in Granville, Ohio.
