Women's Soccer: Raiders Drop Road Match to Marietta

MARIETTA, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team lost an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup 2-0 to Marietta on Wednesday evening.

After a scoreless first half, the Pioneers (4-6-1, 1-2-1 OAC) would break the tie in the 55th minute when Taylor Sloan found the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead. Marietta would add to their lead in the 83rd minute when Demi Mills scored to extend the lead to 2-0.

The Purple Raiders (4-6-1, 1-3 OAC) wouldn't be able to answer as the Pioneers would go on to win 2-0.

Mount Union returns home next when they host Capital on Saturday, October 14 at 7 p.m. in Kehres Stadium.
