BEXLEY, Ohio—The Mount Union women's volleyball team got back in the win column with an Ohio Athletic Conference victory over Capital in straight sets, 25-20, 25-22 and 25-18, Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders (15-6, 3-2 OAC) were led by junior outside hitter
Heaven Bartell (Cleveland / St. Joseph Academy) with 12 kills while junior middle hitter
Alexis Meyer (Avon Lake) finished with seven kills and blocks.

Casey Kildow (Bethesda / Union Local) and freshman setter
Melissa Hansen (Hudson) each had 14 assists while freshman middle hitter
Ava Bolen (Wellsburg, W. Va. / Brooke) finished with six blocks.
Freshman libero
Averi Haley (Orrville) had a team high 11 digs while senior defensive specialist
Adrian Petrisko (Elyria) had 10 digs.
Capital (6-15, 0-5 OAC) was led by Lindsay Rich with six kills, Bryn Whitmer with 23 assists and Abby Brunner with 18 digs.
Mount Union held Capital to just 27 kills with 24 errors in the match for a percentage of .026 while having 38 kills and 16 errors for a .188%. Mount Union finished with 13 blocks in the match while Capital had just seven and the Raiders had more assists with 32 compared to 26 for Capital.
Mount Union remains on the road heading to New Concord, Ohio on Wednesday, October 18th with a 7 PM start taking on Muskingum in OAC play.
