WILMINGTON, Ohio – Mount Union's women's soccer team lost an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup to Wilmington 2-1 on Saturday evening.
The Purple Raiders (5-8-1, 2-5-0 OAC) struck first in the 17
th minute when junior
Teagan Johnston (Akron / Revere) found the back of the net off an assist from junior
Logan Godfrey (Huntingtown, Md.) to take a 1-0 lead.
The Quakers (8-6-2, 1-5-1 OAC) would tie the game with a goal of their own in the 21
st minute when Elizabeth Matthews found the back of the net. Wilmington would take the lead in the 86
th minute when Matthews scored her second goal of the game to take a 2-1 lead.
The Raiders are on the road again next when they travel to University Heights to take on John Carroll on Wednesday, October 25 at 7 p.m.
