YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio—Senior Matt McBride (Conneaut) and graduate student Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) each broke a school record to start the indoor track season off with a bang at the YSU Icebreaker Friday night.

McBride broke his own school record in the 400-Meters winning the meet with a 47.38 which bested his record by .3. This time also ranks him seventh best ever in Division III for the indoor 400-Meters and would have given him the top-ranking last season.

Wayt broke her school record I the 60-Meters running a 7.59 and finishing third in the meet behind a Division I and II athlete. Wayt bested her school record by .03 and now has the 23rd fastest time in Division III history. Her time would have been the fifth fastest last season.

Wayt also competed in the 800-Meters finishing second overall with a 2:16.12.

Junior Drake Willenborg (South Lyon, Mich. / South Lyon East) took third in the weight throw with a toss of 58-feet 5.5-inches which would have been 30th last season.

Senior Madison Miles (Padua / Padua Franciscan) started her season off with a 57.92 in the 400-Meters and a 25.43 which was top 50 marks last season.

Senior Lauren Roncone (North Canton / Hoover) finished seventh in long jump with a leap of 18-feet 1-inch which would have put her 42nd in the nation last year.

Sophomore Ryan McVicker (Dover) finished fourth with a toss of 50-feet 2.5-inches in the shot put which would be 50th last season.

Mount Union returns to action next Saturday hosting its annual Toy Drive meet.
