LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Mount Union junior defensive lineman
Rossy Moore (Lima, Ohio/Lima Central Catholic) was named a finalist for the 2023 NCAA Division III Cliff Harris Award.
Moore, who was named the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches' All-America Second Team, the D3football.com All-Region 4 Team Defensive Player of the Year, and the OAC Defensive Lineman of the Year for the 2023 season, led the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) in tackles for loss (23) and sacks (11.5). He was named on the All-OAC First Team for the second-straight year.
The Cliff Harris Award is an annual recognition honoring outstanding defensive players across Division III college football. The award, named after former Dallas Cowboys safety Cliff Harris, celebrates perseverance, skill, and dedication on the defensive side of the game.
The other five finalists are: Colin Meropoulos, Defensive Tackle, Endicott College (MA), Caleb Harmel, Linebacker, Trinity University (TX), Owen Grover, Linebacker, Wartburg College (IA), Justin Blazek, Defensive End, University of Wisconsin-Platteville (WI), Derek Slywka, Safety, Ithaca College (NY).
