                     AKRON, Ohio – Senior 
Kennady Gibbins (Navarre / Fairless) was just three points away from breaking her own school record in the Pentathlon on Friday night.
 
Gibbins won the pentathlon against Division I and II athletes with a total of 3,635 points which is the second-best mark this year in Division III.
 
In the events Gibbins jumped 18-feet 9-inches to now put her in second overall in Division III for long jump as well as running a 8.91 over the 60-meter hurdles which is good for 12th in Division III, she got over the 5-feet 1.75-inch bar in high jump, threw the shot put 38-feet 3.5-inches and ran the 800-Meters in 2:37.34.
 
Also competing for the Purple Raiders were sophomore 
Natasha Zahursky (Painesville / Riverside) finishing seventh overall with 2,847 points and 
Becca Santom (Grove City, Pa. / Grove City Area) with 2,669.
 
In the men's Heptathlon senior Aaron Blevins (Windham) currently sits in sixth with 1,756 points and will finish the event tomorrow afternoon at Akron.
 
Mount Union will be hosting the Jim Wuske tomorrow Saturday February 4th with Field events beginning at 10 am and running beginning at 1 pm.
