ALLIANCE, Ohio-- The Mount Union women's track and field team won six events including three top 25 marks in Division III hosting the Jim Wuske Inivtie on Saturday afternoon.
Senior
Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) won the 800 with a 2:14.46 which currently ranks fourth in division III after conversions. Sophomore
Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) took second with a 2:22.37.
Junior
Madison Miles (Padua / Padua Franciscan) won the 200-Meters in a time of 25.88 which will convert to the 20th fastest in Division III.
Senior
Bri Aveni (Geneva) tied for second in the pole vault with a leap of 11-feet 6.25-inches which is good for 24th in Division III.
Junior
Lauren Roncone (North Canton / Hoover) won the 60-Meter dash in a time of 7.85 which ranked tied 33rd in the nation. She then came back and finished second in the long jump with a leap of 17-feet 3-inches.
Wayt and Miles combined with senior
Taylor Cupp (Geneva), and freshman Hannah Neiger (Medina) won the 4x200-meter relay in a time of 1:44.89.
Seniors
Megan Wertz (Canton / GlenOak) and
Angela DeFabio (Twinsburg) took the top two spots in the 1,000-Meter run with a 3:04.81 and 3:09.24.
Cupp also won the 500-Meters in a time of 1:21.21.
Mount Union will head to Springfield, Ohio to take on the best of Division III at the D3 All-Ohio Championships hosted by Wittenberg.
