BIRMINGHAM, Alabama—The Mount Union men's track and field broke a school record and sent four athletes to the finals of the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships tomorrow.
Matt McBride (Conneaut) broke the school record held by his coach
Tyler Neff running a 47.68 in the 400-Meters which was a 48.08.
Jared Storm (Barberton) also broke the school record running 47.98. Both men head into the finals tomorrow ranking second and sixth.
McBride and Storm joined with
Tyler Gill (Greenville, Pa. / Reynolds) and
Justin Knoch (Canton / GlenOak) ran the second fastest time of the day in the 4x400-Meter relay qualifying to the finals.
Kyel Wolff (Cleveland / Cuyahoga Heights) finished 14th overall in the pole vault with a jump of 15-feet 5-inches.
Andrew McVicker (Dover) competed in the 200-Meters running 21.96 which was good for a tie of 16th.
Gill also competed in the 400-Meters running a 48.94 finishing in 17th.
The 400-Meters and 4x400-Meter Relay will compete tomorrow in the finals of the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships hosted at the Birmingham Crossplex.
