ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union football team announced staff promotions for the 2023 season.
Junior Collins '13 was promoted to Offensive Coordinator. Entering his third year on the Mount Union coaching staff, Collins has worked with the outside receivers. An All-American and First Team All-OAC wide receiver during his playing days for the Purple Raiders, Collins is in the program record books for multiple categories. Collins helped lead Mount Union to four-straight Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships and a National Championship in 2012. Post-graduation, Collins played professionally including time in the National Football League.
"Mount Union is truly a special place and somewhere I call home," Collins said. "I can't be more excited for the opportunity ahead. I'm thankful for every person in this program and ready for the challenges ahead. Go Raiders!"

Additionally,
Kyle Miller '11 was promoted to Special Teams Coordinator. The 2023 season will be Miller's fourth as an assistant with Mount Union and has coached the tight ends and inside receivers. As a player for the Purple Raiders, Miller was an All-American and All-OAC First Team tight end, while also serving as the long snapper. He was a member of four-straight conference championships and the 2008 National Championship team. Miller also played in the NFL for multiple years after graduating from Mount.
"Coach Miller has a passion for special teams and I'm excited to see him develop an important group of our team," said Dartt.
Mount Union will open its 2023 season at non-conference foe Defiance on September 2.
