Men's Lacrosse: Logan Gebhart Brakes Four School Records in Win OVer Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Ohio—Logan Gebhart (McDonald, Pa. / Canon-McMillian) set the school record for assists and points in a single game with eights assists and 14 total points while setting the school record in single season points and goals with 71 and 43 in a 24-5 Ohio Athletic Conference win over Wilmington Saturday afternoon.
 
The Purple Raiders (6-7, 3-3 OAC) were led by Gebhart with six goals and eight assists while Liam Erwin (Victor, N.Y. / Victor Senior) and Eli Ciotti (Canonsburg, Pa. / Linsly) each scored six.
 
Connor Addison (South Bend, Ind. / Mishawaka) had three goals, Logan Addonizio (Wixom, Mich. / Walled Lake Western) had two goals and Cole Niemann (Idaho Falls, Id. / Idaho Falls) had a goal.
 
Erwin and Dane Matuscin (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Canon-McMillian) each had five ground balls while Alec Blazer (Canonsburg, Pa. / Canon-McMillian) had three caused turnovers.
 
Logan Gunderman (Buffalo, N.Y. / Hamburg) made seven saves and allowing four goals in 50 minutes of work.
 
Wilmington (3-10, 0-6 OAC) had five different scorers each scoring a goal while Cody Everly made 13 saves in the game.
 
Gebhart scored the first three goals of the game as Wilmington got one before the end of the first as Mount Union led 3-1.
 
Mount Union in the second quarter put together 10 goals as Erwin had four, Ciotti, Addison scored two and Addonizio and Gebhart each had one as Mount Union led 13-2 at halftime.
 
In the third the Raiders went for nine goals this time as Ciotti scored three, Erwin and Gebhart scored two, and Addonizio and Niemann each scored a goal as Mount Union extended the lead out to 22-2.
 
Wilmington outscored Mount Union in the final quarter 3-2 as Ciotti and Addison each scored a goal.
 
Mount Union returns home Wednesday, April 19th for senior day as they take on John Carroll.
