COLUMBUS, Ohio—
Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) broke the 400-Meter school record by .41 seconds running a 54.18 which is .97 seconds faster than second in Division III.
Mount Union competed at the Jesse Owens Classic on Saturday afternoon and dropped 5 top 18 NCAA Marks in Division III.
Wayt in the 400 finished second overall against Division I athletes.
The 4x400-Meter relay consisting of
Kennady Gibbins (Navarre / Fairless)
Madison Miles (Padua / Padua Francsican),
Mary Mason (Alliance / Marlington) and Wayt dropped a 3:47.45 which is second in Division III.
The quartet of
Jared Storm (Barberton),
Tyler Gill (Greenville, Pa. / Reynolds), Matthew McBride (Conneaut) and
Justin Knoch (Canton / GlenOak) ran a 3:11.63 for the 4x400-Meter relay which would be ranked third in Division III but they are currently ranked second with a 3:10.66.
Bri Aveni (Geneva) tied her season best in Pole Vault with a leap of 12-feet .75-inches which is ranked 15th in Division III.
Andrew McVicker (Dover) finished eight at 10.56 which is 18th in Division III.
