Men's Soccer: No. 18 Raiders Blank Hiram to Stay Unbeaten

HIRAM, Ohio – The No. 18 nationally ranked Mount Union men's soccer team beat Hiram 2-0 in a nonconference matchup on Friday evening.

The Purple Raiders (8-0-0) got on the board quickly when senior Omar Najjar (Akron / Revere) found the back of the net just under two minutes into the game to take a 1-0 lead. Mount Union would add to their lead in the 30th minute when freshman Tyler Harsch (Aliquippa, Pa. / Central Valley) scored his first career goal off assists from freshman Alex Depperschmidt (Mansfield / Lexington) and junior Kabiona Ramadhani (Cleveland / Lincoln West) to take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.

The Terriers (3-5-1) weren't able to answer in the second half as the Raiders would go on to win 2-0.

The Raiders are on the road again next when they travel to Wooster for a nonconference matchup on Wednesday, September 27 at 5 p.m.
