GENEVA, Ohio—
Kenadee Wayt (Wheeling, W. Va. / Wheeling Central Catholic) broke the Division III National record in the 300-Meters running a 39.33 besting the record by .13 which was held by Gina Dello Russo from Stevens in 2018 on Saturday afternoon at Spire Institute.
Maddy Miles (Padua / Padua Franciscan) took second behind Wayt in the 300-Meters which would have been a school record in a time of 40.55.
Wayt also picked up second place in the 60-Meters running a 7.69 which would be tied for 10th but Wayt has the nation lead at 7.59.
Buzz Kline (Mogadore / Field) finished third in the weight throw with a toss of 48-feet 11-inches.
Laney Duff (Millersburg / West Holmes) took fourth with a leap of 5-feet 1-inch in the high jump.
Elizabeth Funkhouser (Carrollton), Kristen Walters (Gretna, Neb. / Gretna),
Bella Lasecki (Gate Mills / Gilmour Academy) and Wayt finished fourth in the 4x400-Meter relay with a time of 4:10.02.
Jessica Mason (Twinsburg) finished fifth jumping 10-feet 4-inches in the pole vault.
Makenna Rudy (Salem) took fifth in the shot-put throwing 39-feet.
Monica Clark (Akron / Manchester) finished fifth in the 300-Meters with a time of 43.82.
The Purple Raiders return home next weekend hosting the Jim Wuske Invitational on Saturday, January 27th.
